Fashion Fascism
Sneak Peek
Do you really want to be a zero?
The media bombards us with the idea that we’re not good enough. And in this case, it hit someone in a way that almost caused her to question her dreams.
Take a look at this girl. Does she look overweight to you? Some photographer a while back told her that she was too heavy to be a model. (A.k.a. that she wasn’t a size zero.) Take a look at the next few photos and decide for yourself.
If you think she’s fat, you might want to consider getting your eyes checked.

Is it really worth the money?
Ethics in Fashion
The goal of this blog is to use fashion as a positive influence, rather than the negative one that it often portrays. While researching different issues that we could address a while back, I came across this site: Ethical Fashion Forum. It deals with issues such as fair trade, organic & eco-friendly fashion, wages & workers rights, and many other subjects of that nature. It is my hope that this blog can eventually blossom into something of the same magnitude.
Here are a few of the photos I’ve done regarding mental health. You should check out Dahlia’s site , which explains about the Insane Asylum that we went to for one of the photoshoots. While some of the procedures that were done back then such as shock treatments, lobotomies, and hydro-therapy are thankfully no longer practiced, we still need to pay attention to the practices done today when it comes to the treatment of patients.

Sorry for the delay
Hey everyone! I am SO SORRY for the delay. I still haven’t heard back from the illustrator that I’ve been working with for the first issue. However, on the note of collaborators, I would love anyone’s input. Whether you are a model, a stylist, a writer, an illustrator, or anything else. If you have a passion for making a difference- whether you’re into fashion or not. I’d love more people involved with this!
Our Mission
There are so many blogs and other social media outlets that talk about fashion in different ways. Some coax you to buy the “next big thing,” and others are a “how-to” on how to change your looks/style. This blog will not do either of those things. Instead, everything that is posted here is intended to make you think, or in some cases, re-think what you already believe to be true. It will deal with a variety of issues. Nothing is off-limits. However, the means by which the issues are addressed will be similar- that is, they will all be addressed through Fashion Photography. Future issues will collaborate with fashion illustrators, writers, makeup artists, and many others. (If you are interested in collaborating, even if it’s only ideas for the next article, feel free to let me know.)
The first issue should be out in a few weeks, so please check back periodically. =)
